Question : some computers not showing up in microsoft windows network

I have several  Windows XP SP2 machines on a Windows 2000 SP4 network that are listed in Active Directory, connect fine to the network, can all be pinged, but don't show up in the Microsoft Windows Network listing.   How can I get them to show up?

Make sure you have NetBIOS installed. This is done in the TCP/IP properties.  Also, make sure file and print sharing is enable and allowed in the firewall. You can turn off the firewalls for testing.

Hit F5 to refresh the domain listing.
