Question : D-Link Router-2-Router VPN Locking Up Slow Share Browsing

I am connecting two offices via VPN using Identical D-Link DI-804HV Routers.  Any communication that is not windows   browsing realted (ping, ftp, http, ssh, sftp) all work great.  However anytime we try to mount or browse another WinXP share from the other subnet things slow down over the course of an hour both routers lock up and need to be cycled.  

I am using the stock D-Link Howto to set up the vpn. i.e.  (IKE SHA) (IPSec MD5).   Before you question the wan speeds, I duplicated this linking the two routers linking their wan ports with a switch.

There may have been a way to cut the MTU down on the routers themselves ?
Oh well.. fixed now.  Shame you had to go out and spend more !
