|
|
We have two PCs on the network which can't access out NT server. Whenever we click Network Neighborhood and select the server the following error message is displayed:
\\gold is not accessible
The trust relationship between this workstatation and the primary domain failed.
What does this error actually mean, and how do I go about fixing it?

Quite simple. Need not change the name of the workstation. Follow these steps. 1. Change the Workgroup/Domain name on the workstation. Make it a part of a non-existent workgroup removing the domain name. 2. Restart the workstation. 3. Go to Domain Server. Remove the workstation from the domain through the Server manager. 4. Go to Workstation, change Workgroup/Domain setting to add it to the domain and create an account there itself with your domain admin ID. 5. Restart the workstation.
You should be set. Good luck.. Srini.
