Sky is good ISP in UK:

Like AT&T in US, Sky offers a bunch of services (TV, Broadband, Telephone, etc.) that you can combine everything in one package for home use. But every ISP has its own issue and that depends on how customer and consumer review after using it. I always use TV satelitte thru DirectTV and broadband internet service of Comcast. I think that is better. The telephone is landline old fashion but guess what, your telephone is never corruption this way in such emrgency cases unless you are all to wireless cellphone!.
Like others, I always wait and watch to see if any special offers (onsale offer), so the bill statement could be minimal and saving. If you want international calls, internet service could offer that too thru instant messenger such as Yahoo. One of savings for international from Europe is Skyper which my wife likes it and use it.
It is not an answer to your question, it is my opinion on how to select a service and get some saving. The top list ISPs in UK below would give you an answer, Sky is # 5 there:
1. BT Retail 4,251,000 2. Virgin Media 3,590,000 3. Carphone Warehouse 2,604,000 4. Tiscali (Pipex) 2,000,000 5. Sky Broadband 1,199,000 6. Orange 1,138,000 7. Kingston Comms 195,255 8. Tesco.net 132,000 9. THUS Group (Demon) 126,000 10. Entanet 92,000
