Question : verizon wireless broadband access cards
|
|
good day,
anyone have experience with the broadband access cards from wireless phone service providers such as the one in this link?
http://b2b.vzw.com/broadband/index.html
what speed should i expect from such cards? would the connection be reliable?
i'm thinking of getting it as a way of getting internet access until we get a t-1 access at our company's new location: it will be only for about three weeks, and after that my boss will probably use it on his laptop.
please advise

I've installed about half a dozen of those for users. They work great. Speeds are comparable to broadband. I had one user drive from Michigan to Iowa for a hunting trip and only dropped connection once.
Make sure when you get the card that the account is setup for data and not voice. That can be a real headache that their level 2 support has to fix.
