Question : Sniffer on 3Com

Hope u all are good.

I have a 3Com 44000 SuperStack switch with 24 ports. I have configured everything and its working fine now. Now I need to monitor the traffic of all 24 ports ports using a single port on the same switch, just like a Sniffer. Do we have any provition for that.

Answer : Sniffer on 3Com

If the 44000 supports port mirroring, you'll need to activate it on the port your sniffer is plugged into. If not, put a hub in between the router and switch and plug your sniffer into the hub
