Question : Which traffic and weather alert system is best for a GPS - the GTM FM TMC or MSN Direct?

I am planning to buy a Garmin Nuvi 750 or 760. I currently use a Streetpilot 7200 that has a traffic system from the XM network that works "adequately." The newer Nuvi only gives a choice of MSN Direct or a GTM 20 FM TMC (an antenna device). Which currently appears to work better? Which has a better future? Can I expect them to work better than the XM network?

FM TMC as of 7/07 was not as good as the XM transmissions. The XM transmissions for traffic seem based on traffic.com, and so (it appears) is the one used by MSN Direct. Therefore I would expect that the Nuvi 700 series (which offers MSN Direct) should be as good as the XM satellite transmissions. It would appear that the GTM service was behind the others.

This information is a year old. Any newer perspectives would be welcome.
