Question : GroupWise SMTP/MIME Gateway

I have SMTP/MIME Gateway in GroupWise 4.1
Do I install Message Server and Gateway to
Netware 4.1 File Server ?
Is it possible to install those to another PC ?
And does it make any sense ?

You can do it either way. The message servers come in NLM and DOS versions and so does the gateway. I generaly install the NLM's and add more RAM to the server to make up for it, just besure to get the latest message server patches to apply so they won't abend or hang the server. The NLM's do seem to be faster than the DOS ones do, but the DOS does seem to be more reliable.
