Question : Trusting Domains

Two pcs running NT Server try to establish trusts. PC1 (DOMAIN) works fine -- able to be trusted and trusting. But not PC2 (DOMAIN5) which gets a reject called "Access Denied." Maybe the password to PC1's Domain is incorrect. Where can I find or change it? Any troubleshooting ideas?

Answer : Trusting Domains

When you are adding a trust to another domain in User Manager it will ask you for a DOMAIN NAME and TRUST PASSWORD and CONFIRM TRUST PASSWORD. This password is the one used for establishing the trust from the other side. When you want to establish a trust you need to setup one domain as trusting domain. That is where you need to give one password. From the other side just give the DOMAIN NAME and TRUST PASSWORD. This password is NOT any administrator password. This is just a TRUST PASSWORD.
