Question : URGENT! Cannot install D-Link DWL-G520 802.11g Wireless PCI Adapter in win xp

I am trying to install a D-Link DWL-G520 802.11g Wireless PCI Adapter in a system running win xp pro to no avail. I have tried repeatedly using the instructions carefully in both normal mode and xp safe mode. I have called tech support and was given instructions on how to turn off the "Wireless Zero Configuration" in win xp and repeat the install procedure after removing the dlink drivers and software (as instructed by dlink tech support) and reinstalling them after reboot. No Dice. I called a second time and was referred to microsoft support (thanks, dlink, but no solution). I had SP2 installed, so I uninstalled it, rebooted and tried to install the D-Link DWL-G520 802.11g Wireless PCI Adapter once again. I have tried rotating free slots with each try. No dice. I have looked all around the net and there is only one referrence to this in a wireless forum and it was sketchy at best. I MUST solve this by Christmas eve at 2 pm so major points here. I need help in a big way!
