Question : Reconfiguring a New Router for eMule --- Where do I begin?

I just had Verizon install Fibre Optic service and with it came an ActionTec M1424WR router.  Everything seems to be working great --- the speed is a remarkable improvement.  But eMule (which had worked fine with my Linksys Router) is simpy not working now and I haven't a clue from reading their own tutorials and Actiontec's of where to begin.  They talk about firewalls, port forwarding and port triggering but when I go into my router's setup screens for those topics I haven't a clue what number and descriptions to enter.  Can anyone give me a step-by-step or direct me to the right website for help?
