Question : Setting up a WAN with VPN

At corporate have a domain controller running win2003.  Remote site use citrix to log into our domain. We want to create vpn to the sites and have then login to our domain for workstation mangement, policies etc..

If some loczation have servers there do they become a child domain trusted?

Need help??   configuring

Would it be better to have DC's at each site or just authenticate across the WAN.  Im think trusted domains so the corporate AD can manage them.

Answer : Setting up a WAN with VPN

you would probably need to have global catalog servers at each remote site which will authenticate users if the domain controller isn't available.  If you had these servers as a member of your domain, even if the domain controller went down, the global catalog servers would allow users access to rest of shares, etc on network.  Global catalog servers replicate data with the domain controller to keep the newest users, etc up to date
