Question : What is best way to run scheduled tasks in WIn XP Pro?
There is probably an easy solution to this but I just can't seem to figure it out. I just installed 15 new computers which are all running WIn XP Pro and connected to my domain. These 15 computers are used by the same 25 people, who work a rotating schedule. Because of this, I setup Roaming Profiles for these particular users and they work fine. All these people do is use some proprietary software, as well as MS Office and the internet. They have very limited rights on the local machines. My problem is they need a scheduled task to run daily, actually it runs twice a day. If I set the scheduled tak up as an Administrator the task does not run when one of the users is logged in b/c it says they don't have rights to run the task under this account. If i set the task up as one of the users the task only runs under that account so if another user sits at that machine the task will not run. How do I set up a scheduled task to run regardless of who sits there? Thanks!

you could even do it more times a day if you wanted- to be sure you catch machines as soon after they turn on as possible. or just have the users leave the machines on?
