Question : windows xp warning network connection limited or no connectivity

here is the setup 2 pc's connected to a switch pc 1 runs fine pc 2 network runs fine but icon of network in task bar shows warning sign that reads network connection limited or no connectivity. pc 1 uses a nic card pc 2 is a asus A7N8X using onboard enet port with pc probe turned off....
Is this really a problem or is it ok to just click the box that says dont display warning and move on?????
