Question : Linksys RV042 using QuickVPN cant hit stadic IP addresses
Hi, i bought a RV042 Linksys router for an office. I got it because of the remote access functionality it provides for mobile users. or so i thought. right now i setup a vpn tunnel between it and another linksys device, a befsx41. users behind the befsx41 can access the network behind the RV just fine, but users logging in using the QuickVPN connectivity software cant. they can connect to the router, and can ping, or map drives to computers obtaining addresses from the dhcp server built into the RV, but they cannot ping the server thats stadic, but on the same subnet.
note, linksys stated that they thought that 1- it was impossible and 2- it could be because of the vpn client software. also, when i first establised the vpn client to gateway part on the RV router, it changed the ip address of the router to 10.0.0.1, I had to change it back to what the network is. Somehow i think this has to do with it.
Question: any help is greatly appreciated, Linksys is driving me nuts with their useless tech support. I have been on the phone for 6.5 hours now.
