Question : Zenworks 4 lockdown policy
|
|
Hi all
We have just recently moved (like last week) to Zenworks 4 from 3.2, as we are in the process of locking down our desktops so that users cannot install software themselves, the OS is Windows XP, an image has been created and we are now preparing group policies for the lock down, by the way anyone have any suggestions on locking down users desktops, what would be the best policies etc.. anyone have any docs on the steps in regards to locking down, anyway back to my original question, when set a user up with a User DLU the user logs in has got standard user access if we run any Nal execuatble objects for eg blah.exe we get an error.
Application Launcher Status
Could not launch App_name.Zenworkds.OU using (\\volume name\foldername\executable.exe) (id=53) The network path was not found.
Now I have given the user read and file scanning rights to the folder, if I log in as a user with adminstrator rights it runs fine, so can't be a problem with the network path, if I try to run the app manually I get the "you do not have administrator rights."
Can anyone shine any light my way.
Cheers
