Question : bootpd[24753]: IP address not found: 192.168.8.183

I got the captioned in my system message. Any idea why?

My server is running SunOS 2.5 with a static IP and I cannot locate any computer that has set with this ip address.

Answer : bootpd[24753]: IP address not found: 192.168.8.183

comment out the bootps line in /etc/inetd.conf, as you are not using it, then restart inetd and you won't hear from it again.
