Question : Offline files are not available

I have a few users who, despite proper synchronization, cannot access their offline file cache.    Other users (app 100) have no problems at all.   I have deleted the offline cache, re-synched and the issue still exists.   I check it out when the user is in the office and  the offlines files are always available.

One user reports that one night she does not have her offline files and the next night she does.   I've tried to replicate the issue with her laptop and I cannot.

Windows 2003 running RRAS

Answer : Offline files are not available

"OK I thought that mobsync was just another way to initiate a synchronization."

It is teh Offline Files Synchronization Manager. Mobsync.exe alone brings up a config, but the /logon actually forces a reconnect to the network (online mode), and a full synch.....

"running wireless and she loses the signal."

Synchronization will occur at every network connection detected......So a drop, then a reconnect is like finding a network for the first time. I am willing to be you she is cancelling it.....
