Question : configuring snmp v3 priv and SNMPc NMS

I am using SNMPc NMS and trying to configure snmp v3 on a cisco 2960.  Using the NMS i can get port information from the switch (tells status of each interface) but can not get the linkup and linkdown for an alert/event.  The only thing i get is "Device responding to poll"  In properties-attributes i have filled in the proper info for the username and auth/priv password.  I am not sure if the problem is on the cisco side or the NMS side.  If someone out there could possibly help me through this issue.  Thanks in advance.

i have use community with version 3 because i am using it with noauth.
i have given you the link where you can see example config for version 3. also that documen explain you in detail how snmp is working on cisco devices.
