Question : One computer cannot connect to another on network, all other computers can
Hi,
I have a computer (A) connected to the local network, it is able to see computer (B) same as all the other computers. However, A cannot connect to B. the error is along the lines "get with your network provider...". All other computers can connect to B. B has a printer installed that A is trying to access. Again, all other computers can access B. A is on the network and able to ping B. Any ideas would be very helpful :O)
This all stemed from A having issues printing to B. The print queue for A on B was full and the user could not delete the jobs, so the user deleted B's printer from the list. Now B cannot connect to A. All computers are running Vista x86.
thank you
Answer : One computer cannot connect to another on network, all other computers can
Well forget the workgroup stuff on a domain..
but if you can ping...try a share ...or mapping to the others drive...turn off windows firewall if its on...sometimes this blocks sharing and mapping from pc to pc. You can always turn it back on later....just remove it for your test and then if it works you can make an exception to allow a pass through
