Question : Does switch consider the Link speed in the STP election ?

Does switch consider the Link speed in the STP election ? consider one switch has a port speed of 100Mb and another switch has a port speed of 10Mb, so does 100Mb gets preference over the 10 Mb?

I think in STP we only use the MAC address and the bridge priority. Thanks!

this is a good guide on spanning-tree election http://www.enterprisenetworkingplanet.com/netsp/article.php/3580966

Mac address is only used to break ties, so if you have 10mb vs 100mb Mac will not be considered
