Question : How can I view workgroups and domains from the command line (windows xp)

what command will list the different domains on the microsoft windows network?
 is there a command that will list the workgoups for a given domain?  
I want to use how can i ping a computer by name that is on the same domain, but in another workgoup?

Try NET VIEW for all computers on your domain, and NET VIEW /DOMAIN:domainname.xxx for all computers on domainame.xxx
