Question : STP and OSPF running together on ring environment

A question arisen  with regards to having both OSPF and STP operating together on a L2/L3 switch, would the blocking of an STP port effect the OSPF routing protocol.

The environment would be four (4) switches each connected via a point to point connection.

Why could one use both osfp and STP in this manner? What if any advantages would the two together provide?

Thanks

Answer : STP and OSPF running together on ring environment

STP is layer 2 and OSPF is layer 3... so by the time an interface is configured with "no switchport" then it becomes a L3 interface and not participating in STP. I do not believe there is any simple interference between those 2 protocols, I will need a network diagram to go any further.
