Question : Windows lan start up

I would like to know how is possible to start up a machine from a lan from another machine in the same lan using the network card

the machines are windows xp / 2003

Answer : Windows lan start up

First enable: Wake-on-LAN  on the bois of the machine you want to boot remotely
then: download http://www.depicus.com/wake-on-lan/wake-on-lan-gui.aspx
to use from another computer.

you may have to send a broadcast address instead of specific ip address when you are in the lan, so use
MacAddress
ip: 255.255.255.55
mask: 255.255.255.55
and it will find your pc by the mac
