Question : "Local Area is now disconnted"
|
|
I bought a router two weeks ago. I had disconnection problems with it. On some days it works flawlessly and on others it does not. The problem I have is that it gets disconnects all PCs connected and displays "Local area network is now disconnected" and after a couple of seconds it connects again. I am using the LAN part on 4 PCs. I am not using the wireless. Last week I exchanged it with another one of same model and still having the same problem.
I am feeding it proper electricity 220 V using a servo stabilizer and its also on UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply). I changed its position, used various power sources, changed the cables and still the same problem persists.
What could be the cause of this problem? The support team where I purchased this hardware are clueless.
Thanks Cyril

try 1) Turning off DHCP on Router 2) Go in for static IPs of machines 3) Use the IP of the router as the GAteway 4) In dns on router Add Open DNS IPs: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.222.220 5) on systems Put Router Ip (192.168.1.1) in the DNS tabs
Restart system and routers
Hope it will be stable
