Question : index.adp File Message When Connecting To Wifi
I'm trying to connect to an AT&T Wifi network in downtown St. Louis, MO. I've used this connection many times before. Signal strength is good, and I have been issued an IP address. Everytime I open the browser, (Firefox 3.5.5), a window pops up w/ the message "You have chosen to open index.adp which is a Microsoft Access Application from
http
: //nmd.muni-stl.stloumo.way
port.net. Would you like to save this file?"
The options are to Save File or Cancel. If I select Save, the file gets downloaded, but nothing happens. I cannot open a web page. If I execute the downloaded file, MS Access opens, then generates a message stating that the file is not a valid Access format. If I click cancel, nothing happens.
I have re-booted, and executed ipconfig /release and /renew. Same results.
Trying to open IE just fails.
Is the AT&T connection just hosed at the moment, or is there something more malicious going on with this file download?
Answer : index.adp File Message When Connecting To Wifi
At&T's hotspot redirect page is messed up. Unfortunately all you can do is call the provider, they probably may not even know its broken.
