Question : Wireless bridge
|
|
Does anyone knows about a good wireless equipment to buy in order to create a wireless bridge of 100ft. I need to connect a house from one side of the street to the house on the other side. I would like to use roof antennas and if it's possible to use a g equipment.
How should I proceed?
Thank you all jdff

Netgear has bridging solutions too at a reasonable price for a unit with decent security.
2 WG302's can be used for your access points and they will accept an external antenna. The 302's will do 54mbps/108mbps. A couple of 6-9 db omni's will give you more than what you need for range. Both netgear and dlink have reasonable cost 6-9 db omni's and both come with polyphasors for lightning protection. The dlink's come wih a short (1m) cable ( Male N to Male SMA) which will work if you can get the ap's close to the antennas.
I am currently using this setup to connect a remote warehouse to the main building that is approx 300' away and get excellent connectivity.
