Question : DTMF Problem accessing external IVR and/or Asterisk Voicemail (*97) using a Linksys SPA 942 on a Trixbox 2.6.1.13
I am hoping someone might have some insight on DTMF for my particular problem.
When I am connecting to an external IVR and I set my Linksys SPA942 DMTF = INBAND, it works GREAT. I can enter the numbers in quickly and it accepts everything without flaw. The bad part, is my access to my internal voice mail, *97, stops working.
My work around is setting the phone to INBAND+INFO on the SPA942. This is OK at best as it will work for both systems. My problem is that when communicating to the external IVR, the user must press each number for a good 1-2 seconds each to register. The user really has to hold down each number and enter them slowly. It must be very deliberate. In anycase, it still works but everyone complains about it.
Can anyone suggest how I keep the SPA942 setting to INBAND and still work with the Trixbox voicemail? Is there something I can do with Asterisk/Trixbox to allow for my SPA to use INBAND DTMF?
Thanks in advance.
BTW, I am using Trixbox version v2.6.1.13. The SPA942 is on the lastest firmware from Linksys, 6.1.3a but I have also tested 5.2.8. I also tested with a Linksys SPA941 version 5.1.8.

I am closing this question. I believe this is purely an interoperability issue with my Linksys phone.
I am able to toggle the DTMF setting in the linksys from INFO to INBAND to suit my requirements
