Question : Web hosting - Unlimited storage?

How can web hosts offer accounts with unlimited diskspace and bandwidth for only $5.00 a month? are they over selling? is it worth selling unlimited web hosting accounts?

I had a shared server hosting account with a2hosting for cheap and they had THOUSANDS of websites on the server.  It hung constantly and I eventually gave up.  It won't work for business use where reliability is key, but it'd be fine for a personal account that doesn't really matter.  But you get what you pay for...

By the way, I now have a dedicated server with them.  I really like their customer service...  But like everybody, they give you what you pay for.
