Question : how configure samba domain controller to authenticate with ldap server

Dear Experts:

I am having rhel5 working as a samba domain controller . managment requires to implemet LDAP server and samba users to be authenticated with the ldap server , please help me by providing step by step guide to do this, thanks in advance.

If your intention is simply to be a PDC and have an LDAP server on the back-end, rather than add another service I would recommend following the installation directions for samba+LDAP, like here:

Once you have the LDAP backend setup, go back and add the PDC capability (other than winbind & kerberos configuration, this is just a set of configurations
