If your intention is simply to be a PDC and have an LDAP server on the back-end, rather than add another service I would recommend following the installation directions for samba+LDAP, like here:
http://www.unav.es/cti/ldap-smb-howto.html -or-
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LDAP-Samba_PDC_(for_Linux_and_Windows) -or-
any of the official HOWTOs for Samba at
http://www.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-HOWTO-Collection/ and lastly,
http://www.opensourcehowto.org/how-to/samba/openldap-lam-samba-as-pdc.htmlOnce you have the LDAP backend setup, go back and add the PDC capability (other than winbind & kerberos configuration, this is just a set of configurations
http://www.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-HOWTO-Collection/samba-pdc.htmlI'm not sure, but I believe the last link in the first group actually accomplishes exactly what you want...
http://www.opensourcehowto.org/how-to/samba/openldap-lam-samba-as-pdc.htmlI hope this helps...
