Question : What are the steps to acquire, install and configure an SSL certificate for a Cisco ASA 5520 firewall (SSL VPN Website)

Hi,

We are using an SSL VPN website through our Cisco ASA 5520 firewall.  It is working fine, however, I would like to get rid of the "Continue to website" message that comes up when anyone goes to the site.  It seems like this can be accomplished by installing a third party SSL certificate that can generate a pkcs 12 file.

We currently have a wild card SSL certificate that we use for our intranet and webmail.  Would I be able to use that?  If so, can someone provide me with some plain english instructions on how install it using the ASDM gui?  If I need to purchase something else, please send me in the right direction.

Much appreciated.

Secondary question:  How can I configure the device to be able to access our file server and/or have users be able to map drives?

Okay... I see the problem.  You're going to need to delete the existing trustpoint before you add the new certificate.  The "You must use 'no crypto ca trustpoint ' to delete the CA certificate first." error was a bit of a giveaway there.  :)
