Question : Linux ES3- Sendmail Authentication problem
|
|
I just setup Linux ES 3 and try to configure sendmail for our email server. I run into some problem with SMTP Authentication. Could someone please help me to resolve this problem?
Here is my sendmail.mc config file ( I comment out these lines below ) define(`confAUTH_OPTIONS', `A')dnl TRUST_AUTH_MECH(`EXTERNAL DIGEST-MD5 CRAM-MD5 LOGIN PLAIN')dnl define(`confAUTH_MECHANISMS', `EXTERNAL GSSAPI DIGEST-MD5 CRAM-MD5 LOGIN PLAIN')dnl
This used to work in my Redhat 9 but it doesn't work in Linux ES 3.
I noticed that my /usr/lib/sasl2/sendmail.conf is setup like this as defult: pwcheck_method: saslauthd
I changed to: pwcheck_method: auxprop
It still doesn't work... What am I missing here?
Please help Thank you in advace

Well, that certainly helps explain why it didn't work. What would you like to do with this question? Since the problem wan't something that we could solve I'd have no problem with having it deleted and the points refunded.
