Question : MailEnable integrated windows auth not working
We want to provide webmail accounts for about 500 people. We have MailEnable Pro v3.14. All of the people have A/D accounts.
In the MailEnable administrator, I've enabled integrated authentication under the properties for messaging manager:

pg
I created a new post office called "Test" and enabled integrated authentication for it, and pointed it to my Windows domain:

pg
I then clicked on the new post office, selected import windows users, browsed to my domain, and selected user account "81506" and created a mailbox for it:

When I try to login to webmail using username 81506@test and the Active Directory password for account 81506, I get "unknown or disabled user".
If I uncheck the "Users must authenticate against Windows user and not fall back to MailEnable configured password" option for the test post office and try to login to webmail using the password configured for the 81506 account, it works fine. So the account itself works, it would appear there is some sort of problem with the Active Directory authentication.
I haven't been able to find any useful debugging info in the MailEnable log files or the Windows event viewer on the domain controller.
What am I doing wrong? I posted this on the MailEnable support forums yesterday, but have not received a response.
Answer : MailEnable integrated windows auth not working
MailEnable documentation failed to indicate the mail server must be a member of the domain it is trying to authenticate against.
