Question : WIndow Workgroups

I am trying to add a WIndows XP laptop to our workgroup at work. I did add the laptop to the workgroup but when I try to access the laptop from my computer I can't see it. Also, when I look at workgroup from the new laptop I see one computer in the workgroup but not the other 5. Any suggestions?

XP Pro?  

First, disable simple file sharing.  Open My Computer, go to Tools, Folder Options.  Click on the View tab, scroll to the bottom and remove the checkmark from "Use simple file sharing"

Next - did you add the laptop to the workgroup by using the network setup wizard?  If not, you should.
