I recently purchased a Linksys Router WRT54GS with the WiFi USB adapter (came together in one package) , it worked fine when the desktop I was using was on the other side of the wall from the wireless router, now I have to the move the computer a distance away from the router, and the speed is decreased a lot, 11 MBPS is the best I can get, and I was able to get a lot more before. I know the distance can be causing part of the problem, but is there anything else I can do to increase the speed I am getting, I didn't change anything when I installed the router and adapter just went with the vanilla install, so if there are any modifications I can try that would be great, I have read a little about channels but am not sure if the router I have has the ability to change the channel or if that would even help. Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated, or even a link to a knowledge base article, I tried but couldn't find much. Thank you in advance. Also what is a max range for a wireless router/adapter connection?
