Question : configuring split DNS on DNS server

We are deploying a website that is being hosted by a 3rd party.  I was instructed to split the DNS record as to not interfere with the MX records.  Forwarding of the primary and secondary domains to the correct outside IP.

Screen shots or exaples would be appreciated.
