Question : mapping network drive: z:\ is not accessible

I'm trying to build a small network to run Quickbooks Pro 2006. All computers have XP Pro with Simple File Sharing disabled. The company files are supposed to be on one computer used as a server (peer-to-peer network). I have set permissions to allow everybody full access to the shared folder. The folder is C:Quickbooks (not in Program Files). Whenever I try to map the drive , I get an error that says: z:\ is not accessible - access is denied. This is with or without the application installed in the folder. I took ownership of the folder with the same result. I can access the C: drive, but the Quickbooks folder shows empty. What am I missing?

Answer : mapping network drive: z:\ is not accessible

Also, can you access anything on this server, from the client, mainly \\servername\c$ ?
(or IP address instead of the ServerName.....)

Any chance the user you are logged in with on the client has a different password on the server ? Should be identical usernames and passwords on them both.....
