Question : Keep losing mappped drives

I have migrated from windows NT to windows 2000, but I am having a problem with mapped drives, when my users shutdown their computers, next day when turn on their computer all their maped drives are gone, I am not very familiar with windows 2000 , Please help.

This sounds to me more like a drive mapping problem.

When users map their drives, they probably do it one of two ways:  either manually or thru a logon script.  

If you're doing it thru a logon script, try updating them like this:

net use z: \\server\share /persistent:yes


If your users are manually mapping, make sure they click the check box that say "Reconnect at logon".  Otherwise, when they log off the connections will disappear.
