Question : ONLY XP's safe mode allows connection to network

Can connect to network in XP's safe mode only.  What areas should I check 1-by-1 to find fault that prevents me from connecting with a normal startup?

Answer : ONLY XP's safe mode allows connection to network

1) start -> run -> msconfig. go to the startup tab. and start taking out uneccessary things, or something you think is interfering. also try the services tab. but check 'hide all ms services'
2) do an ipconfig /all in safe mode, and an ipconfig /all in normal mode, and show us.
