Question : Cisco Wireless 1250 Corrupted Firmware

Experts,

I have a Cisco 1250 WAP with corrupted firmware. I've attempted to follow the instructions at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/access_point/1250/installation/guide/125h_c3.html to try to resolve this, but the instructions are woefully inadequate.

I have installed TFTP on my laptop, per the software they recommend (http://tftpd32.jounin.net/), but that software sucks IMHO, since the instructions are in French (which alas, I don't speak).

I have rebooted the WAP and held down the MODE button for 30 seconds to reset, however, when the WAP comes back online I get this error message through my hyperterminal session:

Anyone have the slightest clue what this means? I can't set my laptop's IP to 255.255.255.255, so how the heck am I supposed to get the WAP to see the correct IP of my laptop (where the TFTP server is installed)?

Thanks a million! 500 points to the winner!! :)

Answer : Cisco Wireless 1250 Corrupted Firmware

I think this answers your IP question:
set IP address and config to default 10.0.0.1

Try setting up your laptop with a 10.0.0.x address...

I found a website that confirms this:
https://support.soundenterprises.net/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=28&nav=0,7

"The PC on which your TFTP server software runs must be configured with a static IP address in the range of 10.0.0.2 to 10.0.0.30."
