Question : How to keep the emails like exchange  ?

Hello gurus,
I have a Mdaemon 9.6.1 box that I am to administer..
I must say that I am quite new to that email server.
my question is . In exchange I could simply delete a client machine and re-create that client and all the emails would come up again when I use the right credentials.
in MDaemon where are the emails ? once downloaded by the client are they on server again ?
Does this mean that I have to backup the PSTs of all the clients since the emails are not anymore on the server ?
any solution to this ? workaround ?

Answer : How to keep the emails like exchange  ?

To start off with you can treat it in the same way as a POP account.  Just remember to change the type of account to be IMAP when setting it up.
