Question : What client issued a DNS request in a Windows domain?
I have a Windows 2003 domain running Active Directory integrated DNS. In going through my DNS cached lookups, I've found requests for sites that are against corporate policy. I'd like to find either the client PC or the user that issued the lookup request. Is this possible, and if so, how do I do this?
Answer : What client issued a DNS request in a Windows domain?
Retroactively you cannot I'm afraid. You would need to use either Debug Logging or a packet sniffer to determine the source of a request.
