Question : Can not ping the name, but IP only!

Hi experts! I have a really STUPID problem. I have a small network with a 10 Dell's boxes, servers, etc. Every single box can see each other and servers. All boxes run XP pro. But today, I've got another new Dell OPtiplex. As usual, I installed XP pro, all fixes, patches etc. and it doesn't see the network. And no one old box can see the new one. XP firewall is off. No more any soft (XP only). I tried static IP, I tried via DHCP - the same result - nothing. There's no domain. Just a workgroup. Internet is good. I can ping an IP of any box, but not a host name: "ping request could not find host name". BTW, I can see the name of a new box from the "network places", from any old box, but I can not open it. Any ideas?
