Question : DNS Issue possibility
|
|
Hi,
I've recently had to make some changes on one of the websites I've been working on. We offer some kind of mobile blogging feature. We wanted our users to be able to access their blog with their username in an easier way. So we configured the dns server so that *.domain.com goes to domain. Now anything.domain.com will lead me to the main page. Perfect. Once we have that, just use the mod_rewrite on apache 2 and fix the rest.
Only issue is, half of them work, the other half don't. Where it fails is what bothers me. Since i'm on the same network as that thing and sometimes we have trouble with dns internaly I used a proxy to access the site. This is what I get
The following error was encountered:
* Invalid Request: DNS lookup failed
Some aspect of the HTTP Request is invalid.
So, for some of them it works, for some it doesn't. My guess is its the DNS server thats having some kind of issue. Anyone have any idea ? I'm out of ideas for the moment.
Thanks
