Hello
is it possible to capture packets (sniff it) remotle from a cisco router traffic using SNMP ? meaing if i have any packet capturing tool like (Network Associates' Distributed Sniffer) or even (Microsoft Network Monitor) will i be able to sniff the packets on a cisco router using SNMP enabled on it ? And that would be remotly .. my PC which i'm using the network monitor program is remote to the cisco router ...

It depends on the harware type, you can set up a span session (cisco) on a switch to forward vlan traffic, or port traffic to your span port for analysis by a sniffer or laptop using ethereal for instance. L3 switches also support this feature, there is no way sniff directly connected to a router that I know of.
