Question : How to make a folder in a share that points to another server?

My file server is on server1 but it is starting to have less free space so I'd like to move the download folder to another file server. But I want this to be transparent to my users.

I have file and folders in \\server1\shared but I want \\server1\shared\download to point to server2 d:\DOWNLOAD. I think DFS can do that but I am not sure.

Tnx for the help.

uucknaaa's suggestion is good, but if you use a shortcut, search functions will not search "inside" them.
I'm not sure about searching into DFS links (but I doubt it woul work either).  DFS would work otherwise.

The begining of this article is a pretty good outline of DFS:
