Question : PC Anywhere will not connect to host

Can anyone please help with this problem that i am unable to solve my self........... I have installed Pcanywhere HOST on a laptop running XP Home, situated in cornwall and PCanywhere Remote on my laptop in Essex, which is runnning XP Pro. XPro laptop connects to the Internet with a Belkin Modem Router and XP Home connects with a Orange Live Box. I have Opened Ports 5631 TCP and 5632 UDP on both routers. Both Laptops have a static IP assigned XP Home has 192.168.1.135, and XP Pro has 192.168.1.136. Both laptops can ping each others external IP address of the routers which I know does change, and although I am entering the current external address of the HOST router into the REMOTE "computer to connect to" box, It never connects. Instead a message appears saying unable to connect to device. I have tried disabling the norton firewalls on both of the laptops but that failed aswell. On the Router home pages I have set the ports as explained earlier, but I also need to enter a Server IP. As far as I know this should be the IP address of the routers IE: 192.168.1.1 is this correct... This has become such an annoying and frustrating problem so If there is any one who could offer some advice I would be very grateful, what services should be enabled for PCanywhere to work.

Answer : PC Anywhere will not connect to host

you have misconfigured the router
on the router you use the internal ip address
PCanywhere1      TCP                     5631               5631                  192.168.1.x
PCanywhere2      UDP                     5632               5632                  192.168.1.x
where the internal ip of the host is 192.168.1.x

let me see if i can use my set up (although I use RDC, the principle is the same)
internal ip of the host is 192.168.1.10
exteral ip of the host router is 202.254.22.66 (fictional)
now on the router i forward the rdc port to 192.168.1.10
then on my home machine i rdc to ip of 202.254.22.66
and then my router forwards the request to then internal machine of 192.168.1.10

My home machine ----------202.254.22.66(extrernal ip of the router)[router forwards requests]-------192.1681.1.10(my work machine on my work LAN)
