Question : Linksys SRW224P v1.1 does not provide PoE for Cisco 7940G revA0; any ideas?

I have bought 10 Cisco 7940G revA0 which I have planned to deploy in my office using PoE.

Whenever I start my switch with the phones connected; the phones do not boot.

Both the switch and phones are 802.3af compliant but I have been told that there are two different type of PoE. According to Linksys my switch is Mode A (the power is supplied on the same wires as the data) and I am unsure what my phones are. According to linksys they might be Mode B (power is supplied using the spare wires) but I am sure that can't be right; that must defeat the purpose of the 802.3af standard!?!

Does anybody have any ideas how I can get the phones to work on my netowrk using PoE? I have searched the web and have read that the 7940G revA0 phones definatly support PoE.
