Question : Belkin Wireless router will not access network

Hi there,

I bought a Belkin wireless router and wanted to add it to my office. I plugged it on my network and set it up. Immediately i was able to go online on my laptop using the wireless connection. Problem is I haven't been able to connect to the network to access files & folders and also for printing. Is there a way to access the rest of my network? I noticed that the IP address that the router supplies is a 192.168.x.x while my network is a 10.0.1.x IP range, am not sure if that affects anything.

Thanks experts.

Answer : Belkin Wireless router will not access network

you need to have the WAN address setup as static.

WAN setup

IP address:  10.0.1.y (where "y" doesnt' fall in the DHCP scope of your wired router)
subnet: Same as your wired router
gateway: Same as your wired router

Your LAN setup

IP address: 10.0.1.y+1 (where "y" doesn't fall in the DHCP scope of your wired router)
subnet: Same as your wired router
gateway: Same as your wired router

Disable DHCP services on your WIRELESS router
