Question : Adding scanner to network

I have a standalone scanner model Canon D1250 U2F installed to a computer on my home network through its only connection type being usb. I want to know if there is a way to it to my network like one would add a printer. When I go to control panel to view imaging devices installed there is no option to share the scanner with network.

What you need is an application like RemoteScan, available here:

If this is for personal use only, you can purchase the personal version.  However, it only covers two stations for $24.  The "Business Use" product is $20 per computer.

There's no way to do this for free using anything "out of the box" with Windows.
